Science Fair 1999 -The Surveys Carried OutA team of 30 students took part in the inter school science fair which was held in Majeediyya School. The main focus of study was on land pollution through improper disposal. We also found that this kind of practice at large by the public contributed to pollution of sea and air too. Hence, we also did research on air, land, water and noise pollution and the preventive measures taken to reduce pollution. To collect information, we had discussion with officials from offices and resorts. We also visited about 20 houses from each ward of Male' including Villingili. The untiring effort of the students and teachers in putting together the project was extremely rewarding. The project got judges first place from middle school. We thank all of them for helping us in various ways to make our project a success.
